Blue Ridge Theater & Events was formerly the Blue Ridge Dinner Theater. Our new owner, Steve Mochen, purchased the venue in August 2018 and we've been working hard since to bring family-friendly entertainment to Ashe County and surrounding areas. We host Nashville headliners such as Shenandoah, Bucky Covington, and Confederate Railroad, as well as special events like the Nashville Celts Christmas Show. We provide good eats in our concession area along with snacks and beverages; beer and wine are also available. We also offer local entertainment, and hold special events like Line Dancing and Girls Nights Out!

Steve came to us after serving in the United States Marine Corps in Charleston, SC, and a 35 year law enforcement career in Florida. Steve worked with the Martin County Fair for 17 years as President and Entertainment Chairman as well as many other committees. He was the Martin County Special Olympics Games Director for four years, and founded and directed the Martin County Project Graduation for a decade. Steve was Director of Events of the Stuart Air Show for a short time, and has been involved with community events and organizations for 25 years. Steve Mochen arrived in Ashe County as quickly as he could in 2016, when he began serving in the Ashe County Sherriff's Office as Court House Security, Road Patrol, and Detective. Steve has 3 grown children, and 6 grand children. Seeing a need for family-friendly entertainment in Ashe County, Steve purchased the venue in August of 2018.
Michele is originally from Southwest Virginia but her roots in Ashe County run deep – her mom was born in Grassy Creek and an ancestor of hers was one of the first property owners in the (then) newly formed West Jefferson in the 1900s. She moved to Ashe County in 2014 and loves living here in the mountains. She brings 20+ years' experience in operations management. She'd love to hear from you – if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, email her.
